Rewinding

When it comes to time travel my curiosity beats fear. I think my first referent of that was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, that story made me understand that time travel is a serious thing, and that perhaps it is better to live the present intensely.

Sometimes I feel like changing things from the past or going to give me some advice to take things more calmly or not give so much importance to what ailed me in the past.

But anyway I would like to travel to the future, and know what will happen in the world and in Chile in the next century or a thousand years. Knowing what happened to the ecosystem or how the human species evolved seems fascinating to me, but in the same time I am afraid of knowing what will happen to the planet, that is something that anguishes me in the present. Now that I write it, it doesn't sound so good. If my doomsday predictions are true, I think I would just go take a look and come back to enjoy and value life in the present.

Anyway, leave movie recommendations about time travel in the comments please!

The Big Boss DY

Once I thought about it, I can say that one of the best concert I have attended was the Daddy Yankee concert on September 29th, 2022.

Also, I was very lucky! I was able to get a ticket because a colleague of my mom's work sold me her ticket since she was going to have surgery for a brain tumor (fortunately everything went well) so she couldn't attend the concert. I was even able to buy it at the same sale price.

It was really epic. I wanted to go see DY so much that I was willing to go alone until the last minute, but luckily I found out that a very dear acquaintance was going to my same location, so we agreed to go together and with one of her friends, we had an amazing time.

In addition, we were lucky enough to buy tickets for the last of the three nights in which it was performed, so there was no inconvenience, unlike the first day of the concerts where there were even human avalanches!

We really had a great time, despite being a very massive event. That somehow also made it special, even Daddy Yankee told us: "Ustedes fueron los primeros que compraron la función" because the other two dates were opened after filling a Estadio Nacional. And since it was the last night of the "La última vuelta World Tour" there was a lot of euphoria and joy in the atmosphere.

The most emotional moment for me was when he sang "La despedida" and "¿Qué tengo que hacer?" which are very rumberas songs but very sad and romantic. It was like I had never heard them before and I just cried with emotion. I'm a fan of "perreo sad".

It was very entertaining when he freestyled, plus the ballet and visual effects were impeccable, from the gallery it looked great when he entered the stage as if coming out of a private jet. Other artists with whom she has great collabotations were also screened, my favorite was her when he sang "Tu príncipe" and "Yo voy" along with Zion y Lennox.

It was hit after hit. And the nest day I was hoarse but very happy. I took a very cool pink jokey with me as a souvenir, with sparkles and the "LegenDaddy" symbol.

 A very happy Anto

That night we broke up at Estadio Nacional and "perreamos" to the -1000 floor.

PS: Please excuse the spanglish but it's typical of the latin urban scene.

A country I would like to visist

Well, there are so many countries I would like to visit, because I love the social sciences, so i want to know so many cultures...

But lately I want to go to Colombia, cos I have met a lot of people from this country and they give me a good energy, like a lightness and calm in the way they speak. Obviously, not all colombians do it, but it's something that I feel is part of their culture.

Also in the last week i saw the movie "Encanto" with my younger cousin where the theme mysticim, spirits and family heritage, a part from their culture I will not know but which I was able to connect very well.

Besides, lately I'm obsessed with Karol G's latest album "Mañana será bonito"  which I would describe as sensitive, adorable but daring and powerful. I like this album that has so many collaborations, including Shakira (also colombian), Carla Morrison (mexican), Romeo Santos (from PR) and Bad Gyal (from spain). I love the song "Tus gafitas" and "Provenza".

Finaly I would like to know the diverse landscapes of Colombia, from the mountainous landscapes to the beaches with crystalline waters and especially the city of Cartagena for its colonial a
rchitecture.

Please invite me to Greece

Whenever I ask myself the question about which countries I would like to visit, I realize that I am a geek.

I usually think of countries with an interesting and meaningful history for me.

One of them is Greece, because when we were taught about Ancient Greece in school I was fascinated to think that so many disciplines were developed in one place so long ago. I find it fantastic.

That is why I would like to get to know Athens and its architectural wonders, especially the Acropolis where the Parthenon is located.

My idol Catalina Rayo

More than admire, I have a lot of respect for my teacher Catalina Rayo Calderón. She is my professor of “Cinema Theory”, his class leave me thinking about the contents and topics that the films have dealt with throughout history. She is a Chilean academic licensed of Art from the Pontificia Universidad Católica MA in Film Studies from Columbia University, New York, and MA in Digital Journalism from the University of Santiago. She has a six year of work and educational experience in the field of audiovisual and film, also she dedicated to doing independent research, oil painting and independent translation. In his research has addressed the issues of Women's cinema, Feminism and Marxism, Art and Cinema Theory. Some of his work are: "¿Cómo debería verse un filme feminista?: Sara Gómez y de cómo la igualdad de género es problemática en la Cuba revolucionaria de los años 70s” or “Cine Rojo en la China de Mao: Una lectura profunda al filme de Xie Jin, The Red Detachment of Women (1961)”. Finally I admire her because although she is a very literate and well-educated person, she is very simple, in addition to being a person with very defined ideals and who is consistent with them.

Dear movies

The first time I went to the cinema my godmother took me. I do not go to the movies so often, but I’ve seen a lot of shows on Netflix with my mom. In general, the kind of films I like are dramas, mystery, psychological terror, maybe fantasy and I love musicals especially for all the staging, the choreography and all that. I don't have a favorite film director, but I prefer the European cinema. In fact, the best movie I’ve seen in this year was “Mar adentro” a Spanish film about euthanasia, it’s so emotional and dramatic.  And the last movie that I saw it was “The others”, a terror film.
I can’t choose one favorite film, but like lately I’ve seen more series, I can see I have a favorite TV series: “Dark” a German television serial about a little town that lives around a nuclear plant and where disappearances of children occur. In the course reveal different secrets that hide four families around the disappearances, their personal stories and the nuclear plant.
I like this series a lot because it has a very entertaining and complex plot among the families that star it, for the theories about time-space that it poses and because it is a series that keeps you attentive to every detail that happens, which contributes to suspense and mystery. In June of 2019 the new season comes out and I think I'll have to see it again. I've seen it twice but I would see it again because every time I discover new pieces of the puzzle, that's why I really recommend it.
